Caucasus

Hunting Dagestan tur, Red deer, Wild boar, Chamois, Brown bear, European roe deer.

Hunting area square is – 93 000ha. 60% of the territory - are mountains, 40% - mountain forests.

Accommodation: There are two basic hunting camps with comfortable hunting houses.
Camp “Verhnjaja Saniba” is situated on a picturesque mountain slope 15 km from Vladikavkas & 25 km from the airport “Vladikavkas”. A comfortable hunting lodge with double-beds rooms with showers and bath rooms has a capacity of ten persons per night. Alongside there are two very big dining halls, a sauna and a kitchen. A visitor could enjoy a marvelous view of the nearest mountain ranges from the windows of his room and dining rooms.
Camp “Carmadon” is situated on a slope of the Main mountain range at the altitude of 1800m.
The two-stored building has a unique architecture with special observation place. The hunting lodge’s accommodation capacity is ten persons per night.

Hunting objects

Dagestan tur (Capra cylindricornis). Lives in the mountains of the Main Caucasus mountain range at the altitudes of 2500-4000m. The way of hunting: stalking, driven hunt. Overnights in the mountains are possible. Daily walking routes – 3-10km. 4x4 jeeps are used to transport hunters to the hunting areas and backwards. We use portable and stationary radio stations during the hunts. Hunters stay in small hunting huts in the mountains or in tents for overnights. Each hunter is provided with two or three professional hunting guides. Equipment: mountain camouflage, mountain boots, sleeping bag, binocular, rangefinder. Hunting season: August 1 – November 25.

Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra asiatica). Lives on the rocky mountain slopes at the altitudes of 2000-3000m. Daily walking routes – 5-10km. Overnights in the mountains are possible. Hunting season: August 1 – November 25.
Red deer (The Caucasus type; Cervus elaphus maral). Lives in leaf mountain forests in alpine or sub alpine zones at the altitude of 1 500 – 3 500m.
The way of hunting: stalking during the rutting period September 15 – October 15; a 4x4 jeep is used with a driver and two or tree professional hunters; driven hunts October 1 – December 15. Two 4x4 cars are used and up to ten drivers.
Brown bear (The Caucasus type, Ursus arctos syriacus); wild boar (sus scrofa); european roe deer (Capreolus Caucasicus). Hunts on these animals are taken place mainly alongside with the hunts on the animals mentioned above. Starting October 1 till December 31.

Kuban-Tur (Capra caucasica)
Krasnodar area
Kuban-Tur lives on the small territory (300km long and 15km wide) in the West part of the Caucasus on the square of 4 500km.
Kuban tur males are usually dark brown during the fall-winter period. And the elder the male is the lighter is his fur color.

The average size of the male is 165cm long and up to 110cm high, with the weight up to 100kg. Kuban tur is endemic and live nowhere else in the world. This makes him one of the most desirable trophy animal, especially among the mountain hunters.
