Kamchatka

Giant moose, brown bear, snow sheep hunts.

The giant Kamchatka moose (Alces buturlini) – one of the biggest animals living on the Russia’s territory. The weight of an adult male animal could reach 800kg. (Only the males of the Bjelorussian zubr could weight more, up to 900-1000kg).
The width of the Kamchatka moose horns could reach – 170cm and weight up to 40kg and more.

Hunting season: September,1–December, 1.
Hunting area: we choose it accordance with the number of hunters in a group. Options: - Romanovka river region – 500km north-westwards from Petropavlovsk. (7-8 hours drive from P.Kamchatsky.)
- Milkovo area
Accommodation: hunting lodges and heated tents in the basic camps; tents and hunting huts in the wild.
Landscape: Valleys along the rivers and creeks with hills; dense vegetation.
The way of hunting: stalking; using a snow scooter and stalking in November.


Kamchatka Brown Bear (Ursus arctos beringianis) – the biggest type of brown bears. Large dimensions of brown bears are caused by peculiarities of their food ration. They eat a lot of sea spawning fish rich with protein. They could be 180 – 300cm and longer from nose to tail and weighting 250 up to 600kg and sometimes more. Hide color could be from pale-yellow to dark brown or completely black.

Hunting season: April,24 – May, 25.
Hunting area: in spring: south to P.Kamchatsky (3-4 hours drive in a car) in late August and fall: along the rivers where the fish is spawning. Accommodation: hunting lodges and heated tents in the basic camps; tents in the wild. Landscape: sea shores; rough valleys along the rivers where fish is spawning.


Kamchatka snow sheep (Ovis nevicola) – is called so, thanks to the habitat where the animal lives. They are grey-brownish or grayish in color. Demensions: hight – 90-100cm at withers;
Weight – 80-100kg. Average trophy length – 70-80cm. The biggest trophy shot there had the length of the left horn – 95cm; the right horn – 101cm.

Hunting season: August – October.
Hunting area: - mountains of the Kamchatka Bay (east shore). - mountains of The Shelehov Bay (west shore).
Accommodation: hunting lodges and heated tents in the basic camps; tents in the mountains. 2-3 overnights in the mountains are possible.
Landscape: rocky mountains with alpine meadows and snow.

Moose hunt: $ 13 000 irrespective of size.
Refund in case of no success - $ 2 500.
Second moose - $ 8 000.
Brown bear – $ 7 000; Snowsheep – $ 13 000

Brown bear hunt:$ 12 000 irrespective of size.
Refund in case of no success - $ 2 500.
Second brown bear – $ 7 000.
Moose – $ 8 000; Snowsheep – $ 13 000

Snow sheep hunt: $ 21 000 includes: transfer to/back the camp with a helicopter; + 1 snow sheep trophy and all services in the hunting area.
Refund in case of no success - $ 7000.
Second snow sheep - $ 13 000.
Moose – $ 8 000; Brown bear – $ 7 000;

The prices include: All services P.Kamchatsky – P.Kamchatsky (full board, hunting guidance, interpreter, all transfers to/from the hunting area with a car ; trophy fee, trophy preparation, veterinarian certificate, gun import license.

Not included are: Flight costs Moscow-P.Kamchatsky-Moscow,
helicopter flight Esso-hunting area-Esso (Approx. $ 3 700 per group)
CITES for the bear hide – $ 350.
Our firm representative accompanying – EUR 600 per Group.
Administrative payment - EUR 100 per person.
